Teens

TEEN INSTRUCTION AND DRIVER TESTING, AGES 17 AND YOUNGER:

Michigan’s graduated driver licensing process requires that students take Segment 1, Segment 2 and a Driving Test. We also offer Practice Lessons for students who need additional instruction before or after receiving their license. For more information about the state’s graduated driver licensing process and teen driver safety, visit the Secretary of State website. Click here

(Please note that we offer Segment 1 and Segment 2 classes at De La Salle Collegiate High School for DLS students only. Please email elitedrivingschoolscs@gmail.com for more information.)

  • On the first day of class, students need their payment and birth certificate (original or copy — it will be immediately returned). It is also helpful if students know their availability during the three weeks of class as instructors will begin assigning driving times the first day.
  • After successfully completing the class, students will receive a green Segment 1 Certificate. This certificate needs to be taken to the Secretary of State to obtain the Level 1 License. The process will be explained to students in class.
